Live Technologies Inc. is an Ohio based provider of high quality Audio, Lighting, Staging and Video products and services. Our roots trace back to 1973 when CEO David Mead formed an audio company, Sound Advocate, to serve the local Columbus, Ohio community and to lease systems for touring Broadway Plays. In 1979 President and COO, Rusty Ranney formed a lighting company, LightingMasters, to provide stage lighting equipment and services to the same community. These companies continued to grow through expansion and strategic acquisitions throughout the 1980’s while continuing to work together to secure regional event and national touring contracts. The relationship was formalized in 1988 and we spent the 1990’s continuing to expand and acquire additional capabilities. In 1999 all the related companies were merged into one entity – Live Technologies Inc. Today we are a company of 70 associates who make up a staff of some of the most experienced and talented production people in our industry. Throughout the Midwest we have a solid reputation of consistent top quality service and equipment. This has translated into several awards – we were awarded the Rental & Staging best production for under 50k budget for a unique set design for the 2003 YWCA Women of Achievement event. We are also 6 time winners of the Consumer Choice Award as the best Event Staging Company and we also have earned several “Telly” awards for excellence in video production. Our diverse services include Audio systems for all sizes, from the largest arenas and festivals to most discrete boardrooms at some of America’s largest corporations. Our lighting systems feature a large inventory of High End Systems moving fixtures and inventive uses of the latest LED technologies. Our video department continues to expand and our recent addition of video production capabilities and the construction of video editing suites have enhanced our product offering to our clients. It is also not uncommon for people to recognize our Stageline Mobile Stages from various events around the country. We have developed our own manufacturing capabilities and we continue to provide our clients with visually stunning and budget conscious set designs and construction.
